 My Review
Art of Death is the first book in the Curse Breakers series by Becca Vincenza. It follows Rowan, who happens to be a curse breaker, as she investigates her twin brother's disappearance/kidnapping and discovers much more than she bargained for.
I thought the book was pretty decent. I didn't care much for Rowan at times, to be honest. I found her frustrating and slightly annoying. But she's not a complete disaster. I did like Indigo, though.
The story is paced relatively quickly, although there were some spots that lagged a little. There is a lot of action, though, and some romance scattered throughout.
The ending leaves readers eager for the sequel, ready to dive back into the world of the Necromancers to see what might happen next.
Overall, not a bad book. I just wanted a little something more. There were a few times I felt a bit confused by what was going on. But other than that, it was pretty good.
3.5 stars.
