Soul Finder by Jacinta Maree - Book Tour & Review + Giveaway

Soul Finder
Jacinta Maree
(The Immortal Gene, #2)
Publication date: September 16th 2016
Genres: Dystopian, New Adult, Supernatural
Since being discovered as Soulless, Nadia has become a target for both terrorist groups and government corporations. Now, her only hope for survival rests in the hands of the man sent out to kill her: Diesel, the Mad Dog terrorist.
Diesel is determined to free himself of the never ending curse of reincarnation and the haunting memories that plague his mind. But when his search leads him to Nadia, a greater desire stills him from taking her life.
Unable to see into Diesel’s cracking mind, Nadia instead puts her faith into his strength, fueled by eleven generations of unmatched rage and insanity. Their tight-rope relationship balances the two between life and death, love and rage, trust and betrayal.
Tension pulls at the hems of their dangerous companionship, and as time runs out all madmen must eventually make their choice.
Book two of the thrilling Immortal Gene series dives deeper into the danger of trusting your heart over your head.

Sequel to:

Soulless

My Review

First things first: You're going to want to read book one, Soulless, before reading book two. Otherwise, you won't have a clue as to what's going on.

So, Soul Finder picks up where Soulless left off. Nadia is on the run, not sure if she can trust Diesel or not. Unfortunately for her, she ends up in Alpha prison, and that's where the story really starts to take shape. The prison is the last place Nadia wants to be, but with no one to save her, how can she ever hope to escape?

I don't want to spoil book one or book two, so I'll try and keep my review a little vague. All I can really say is Soul Finder is just as crazy, if maybe not more so than Soulless. There's a threadbare trust between Nadia and Diesel that really gets put to the test. There's action, drama, and complete, utter insanity at times.

The plot of Soul Finder is pretty fast-paced, although I did find it a little bit slow in a couple of spots. Nothing too bad, though. And there were a couple of scenes I was a little confused by, but that may have been because I was reading before bed and started dozing off without trying to make sense of what I was reading. Totally my fault there. And other than a few grammar/spelling mistakes I noticed, the book is really well-written. I found it intense, and I was eager to see where the story was leading. After the ending, I'm REALLY curious to see how it's all going to come together in book three.

Character-wise, you have a your familiar faces. Nadia and Diesel, of course, are the main two. You also meet some new, interesting characters such as Hiro, Jacky, and Logan. I think Hiro is my favorite new character, and I actually like him more than Diesel. he also becomes really important later on. I'm excited to see how that plays out.

Overall, Soul Finder is a fun, wild ride that will have you eagerly flipping through it to see what might possibly happen next. Never a dull moment. You will also find yourself trying to decide who to trust, who to root for, and who you just want to see fall off a cliff or something. I rate it 4 stars. Really great!
