My Review
A Texas Kind of Love is a novella based on characters by Melissa Foster. Now I have never personally read anything by her, but after reading A Texas Kind of Love, I think I may have to change that.

The story starts off with a confident young woman named Louise learning she must revisit her past to settle some things after her aunt passes away. Not wanting to deal with such a task alone, she enlists the help of her friend Siena.

Once the two women arrive in Texas, Louise makes herself a vow that she will get in and get out without letting any of her past creep up on her. Unfortunately for her, Brady Williams, her middle school boyfriend, is still around. And he hasn't forgotten about Louise at all.

Now I'm not normally a cowboy romance type person, but I quite liked A Texas Kind of Love. It was well-written, and the characters were very well developed and likeable. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a spin-off type novella with familiar characters in a familiar setting, but with a slightly different voice to them, if you will. Four very well deserved stars!

About the Author
Melissa Storm is a mother first, and everything else second. She used to write under a pseudonym, but finally had the confidence to come out as herself to the world. Her fiction is highly personal and often based on true stories. Writing is Melissa’s way of showing her daughter just how beautiful life can be, when you pay attention to the everyday wonders that surround us.

Melissa loves books so much, she married fellow author Falcon Storm. Between the two of them, there are always plenty of imaginative, awe-inspiring stories to share. Melissa and Falcon also run the business Novel Publicity together, where she works as publisher, marketer, editor, and all-around business mogul. When she’s not reading, writing, or child-rearing, Melissa spends time relaxing at home in the company of her three dogs and five parrots. She never misses an episode of The Bachelor or her nightly lavender-infused soak in the tub. Ahh, the simple luxuries that make life worth living.
